You have ground a grinding angle on. That should bbe 35deg.
Now you need a cutting angle on, about 25deg.

Then you will be away.

The chipper needs to be dressed so it perfectly conforms to the blade, and then set as in the photo with just enough of the blade exposed to give a fine shaving.

Scheppach Tiger 3000vs.

It has a big 250mm wheel. It's a lot more plastic than I was expecting to be honest. I was a bit shocked when I pulled the main body of the machine out of the box with one hand quite easily.

The Tormek version is nearly 700 quid so the buy once, cry once option was out of the question for sharpening 30 quids worth of old tools. This was on offer for £160. It does a job, but it's not a tool I'll be passing on to future generations I reckon. I might do a review once I've had it a while and learned how to use it properly. Variable speed is a nice feature though.

boy i know was changing heating oil tank for some. so required cans to empty last bit of oil

180ltrs of free heating oil. i asked if he wanted a bit of money. his responce its fine mate just have it.

i didnt ask again.

Good old BS:308, I trained in that A lot better than BS:8888 at least the comma and full stop were used correctly

Got an acquired item and an item found after a while .The Rivnut gun was in a charity shop ,The big piston is an unknown one converted to an ashtray and the smaller one is a Honda SS50 machined in the style of the ashtray when I was at school

The guy who collects all my waste oil uses it to heat a shed full of quail, he keeps them for the eggs which he sells. He told me the shed has to be kept hot all year round for the quail, apparently they're very sensitive to cold weather.

Yesterday I acquired some hole punches all apart from the 18mm seem pretty sharp on the edges but the cap head bolt is pretty stiff in the 18 so it'll have to go in the vice.
no idea what thickness they'll punch but I thought not a bad punt at a tenner .

I remembered to check the packet, mine says up to 1.625mm mild steel, which I think is roughly 16swg.

My work mate in Berlin came through and forwarded on my Lidl pilot arc torch purchase,. don't know if they will ever be available in UK.
At 5 meters its twice the length of the original as well, 30 euro well spent, will fire it up tomorrow
