One of the drawers needs repairing, it looks like someone has tried to force it open but other than that it’s fine.

Acquired this a week or three ago, but only got around to assembling it today.

Which eventually resulted in this -

A new laser engraver/cutter.
Only a 1720 size (170x200mm travel), with a 15W laser.

Still need to setup the software and check it actually works, but it should hopefully allow me to engrave lumps of wood quicker than the existing 3W mini laser.

Pretty much.
Assembly instructions were a video created from the CAD design, which I thought was a lot better than the usual chinglish paper instructions.
Shows the complete assembly, then highlights each assembly in turn, pauses to show labels on all the individual parts, then animates the order the bits get assembled.

Certainly not a fool proof kit, but should be easy enough for anybody with some mechanical understanding.

I still need to get the software setup, but I'm waiting for my old tablet to charge.

They weren't cheap so don't be too jealous. They were the wrong side of £600

Still top quality gear and well worth it. I never begrudge the price when it's good stuff. I think the pump alone is £800+ new?

Yeah I think £600 to the trade. The 50 ton ram is at least £1000-1200

While we were working on timing our VW LT35 2.5 TDi the guys next door went away and made us a tool for holding the rear cam sprocket to help get the timing spot on.

Was a good day yesterday. Apart from hving to buy two new tyres. But a trip out with a friend to the beach made up for it.
She even brought me dinner.

I got this for £1. I got it for spares for one I am restoring. The plane is a half moon shape, not the common flat type.

Same shop had this set for £5.

To add to my dental tool collection I got this Sparklets anaesthetic tool. I hqve the box and 2 spare CO2 cans.

I also got a few test meters as well.

This PO Volt meter has a clear issue. Plus the leads are terrible, they will be thrown away. The leather case is stiff and in need of attention.

RS Clamp meter. It was last calibrated in 1999. A quick test shows it is working and within 2% of my current work one.
