I still can't get my head around this, I was gobsmacked when I first heard of such clothesline bans. As I understand it, most of them were put in place by housing associations and based purely on "we don't like the look of clothes lines" lol

Problem is, you get control freaks creeping into such organisations, then they progressively make it harder for normal people.
I'd hate to live in such a place. My front yard would give them conniptions, and when they see the back - smelling salts are available.

Same seems to happen here - a mate of a mate - had complaints from the neighbouring static caravan that the cables to the back of his computer were untidy . . . they could see through the window . . . and someone thought it warrantied a letter . . .

Not just the American way, not uncommon on lease hold housing estates. I used to live in what was origionally marketed as an executive estate when build as all the houses were detatched. These were originally lease hold and some-of the clauses included.

No company type work vans allowed over night.
No conservatories unless approved by them
No additional trees/ hedges to be planted in front gardens

There were a few more, its incredible they sold any

I have 2014 Honda AFS110i 3.7ltr tank - genuine 132mpg . I do weigh the full 99kg - same as the dry weight of the 99kg bike.

I’ve come to the conclusion that no loft insulation in a 100 year old house is not do-able any longer, another project for the summer, also need to gather and chop a load more firewood, hopefully by starting the log burner at 4pm will convince her indoors that at least one warm room will be acceptable and I can turn the thermostat down from 18 to 16 for the remainder rooms, might be able to reduce my gas bills by 25%
It‘s getting a bit silly now, heating bill is now half my mortgage cost, I feel so lucky I can afford it.
Can only imagine what problems this is going to cause families and pensioners next winter if things don’t get back to some degree of normality.

About a foot thick in mine....the rats love it. Vermin proof it is classed as, for educated rats maybe.?

Heating oil prices have been all over the place in the last few years, any users would benefit from more capacity if they have room and neck the tanks when the prices are sensible.

Ironically I was forced to do that june 2020. The 1,800ltr was condemned and the 2nd hand 2.500ltr one that had been sitting there for years, went in. Topped it up with 1,500ltrs @ 42p/l july last year.
About 2 years worth unless we have a bad winter. Storage tanks should hold at least 12months minimum as recommended.

Just to add to this - I have never been outside of the local bypass of the town I live in - on the little Honda - I just use it for commuting to the workshop in the summer. So it is all going thru the gears in traffic and thru housing estate. The throttle really has two positions ON/OFF.

I reckon 150+mpg is possible if you took it for a long steady ride with no hills or gear changes.

How fast is your C125 super cub? My little 110i Honda wave will do 60mph killing it - but will sit happy at 55mph and sounds less like it is dying.

On top of the heating oil price I'm already reeling from, I got this. (Not as bad as for some I know). Getting like my old man now, moaning and obsessively going round turning lights off.

My electricity has also doubled from12p/kwh to 21p/kwhr but the standing charge hasn't. Maybe a penny 5p. = £18/yr
