A couple of incarnations of a Makita battery to Einhell/Ozito adapter. Ripped off Thingiverse.

Clay red PLA from 3DFILAPRINT and grey PETG from 3DJAKE.

The Makita side:

Any pointers as to reducing the hairiness of the PETG?

In both cases the battery release lever snaps off as soon as look at it.

Do I recall somebody on here is able to offer laser cutting in 1mm copper?

Housing for a microcontroller I built around a Raspberry Pi 4 - it has a 16-input card, 8 relay output card, real-time clock module and a cooling fan

Then it got an extension to accommodate an Arduino as an analogue/digital converter, and some DIN rail mounts...

A bit low tech considering some of the work here but an extension bracket for a HIVE camera. White PLA:

Slot came out really well, no infill. That considering there were 25deg overhangs.

Fired up the big Creality today for a large print. It's a bit slow and guff compared to the Prusas.

Need to find a pic, but back in November I was dazzled by sunlight on a country lane and knocked a cyclist off
I know, everyone thinks it would be hilarious to do so (given the way some of them ride) but when it actually happens

Anyway, she was largely intact, which is more than can be said for the mirror on the Connect. The detent mechanism that keeps it in place but allows it to fold (say, when you hit a cyclist ) uses quite a stiff spring round a cast plastic cylindrical bit, the flanged end of which snapped off and spat the mirror off the door, to hang on its control wires.
Needless to say, that one daft part appears to be unavailable by itself: please buy a new mirror pod at £200, says Mr. Ford.
So I fished out the bits, measured up and drew a 3D model. The printer ran overnight and ran off a PLA version.
Installing it turned into a bit of a palaver: I'd omitted a few slots and grooves as I didn't think I'd need them but it turned out they must be used for some form of 'key' to press in and turn the thing against spring tension. I worked out a way to do it using a cordless drill, step cutter and a length of hose and eventually it was all back together and on the van.
It worked fine for a fortnight until I hit the mirror with the house wheelie bin, when the PLA gave up the ghost.
I dug out the model, added the missing features and ran off another one.
That lasted a month until somebody squeezing between cars in Tesco knocked the bloody thing off again
So the son-in-law stepped in and produced a version in resin, the finish quality of which was beautiful compared to the textured PLA.
Unfortunately the resin flange couldn't cope with the spring tension and broke (well, exploded) during install.
I found the broken PLA bits, made a new flange out of a large washer and so far it's keeping the mirror on the van - next attempt will be in PET-G or similar.

Have you considered it may be less trouble to just remove the mirror? Sounds like everything & everyone would be safer for it.

Thanks: son-in-law has suggested that as an alternative to PET-G, he has a range of printers and filaments that are usually busy with something, I just need to wait till he has a slot.
I could do another on the office printer but ABS doesn't work reliably and PLA has proved a bit brittle
Worst case scenario, I can cobble something up with galv pipe fittings

It's very appealing when the Creality is still grinding through a job that the Prusa would have finished already.

Yoke and throttle quadrant for a flight sim. Both from Thingiverse, but I had to redesign most of the parts of the yoke so I could fit a slider pot in for the elevator control. Th throttle quadrant was from someone else and they made a really good job on all the tolerances - very little fettling to fit it all together. All in PLA. Linked to the flight sim via an Arduino, which is the first time I've used one - a bit of a steep learning curve. Might have to make another yoke, with a few more metal parts and maybe a linear bearing or two to make it a bit less toytown, but it sort of works ok as is.
