Bought some chinesium spiral taps off eBay to try
The price seems to good to be true and I would risk on anything fancy but for dirt work like laser cut stuff I’ll try

I hardly ever buy spiral flute, then again nearly all the stuff I tap is through hole. I have found spiral points just breeze through stuff compared to spiral flute and they centre a lot better if tapping with a cordless drill.

I prefer spiral point but I couldn’t find any for good value....

There’s the most common which is iso then there’s DIN
JIS is Japanese standard
Being penny wise pound foolish I’ve ordered some JIS collets off aliexpress so I can use my cheapo taps

Chinesium goods have terrible QC so all because mine is ok that doesn’t mean others are for certain though this looks nice enough to not be a fluke
Do not use the oiler ,it went everywhere!

I know somebody who'll check prices up until the free return period has ended, and if the price drops enough make it worthwhile, will contact the seller for a partial refund, and if they refuse, they'll send the item back, then reorder it.

In 25 mm mild steel with a used spiral tap it’s on its limit so no fancy metal though a new tap might help

Biggest thing is air oiler is total junk!

Danyang Taipusi, I think, I have a few.

They are ok but one thing stands out is the extra long cutting flute length, they feel weaker

I have been converted to Zoro Swisstech taps, very low cutting force and nice to use. They seem to put prices up after I buy them this is my collection
