My nutter of a sister , a born again Christian , rekki healer & Buddist has apparently just been ejected from the extended family Faceache group for her stupidity wrt the anti vax rubbish she has been posting . I know it's not nice but I often hope that she will get a near death dose of it and suffer long covid so she knows exactly how hundreds of thousands who have had it are struggling because of numpties like her .

On the other hand:
Freiberg, a district town and mining city roughly in the middle of the Free State of Saxony between Dresden and Chemnitz.
Site of the present Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, at whose predecessor the chemist Clemens Winkler found the element Germanium in 1885/6.
The two cities are just over 650km/6.5h apart by car.

I was given a set of these a year or two back, I downloaded the manual from somewhere to show how to use them but I haven't got around to trying them out yet. I usually use a Gunsons Trackrite (that thing you drive over) which seems to work OK, but these look like they're a decent alternative and with less space required.

I found that there was too much give on the old Dunlop gauges for them to be any good on a modern car where the steering alignment is to an accuracy of half a degree rather than millimeters or parts of an inch . They were OK on military Lorries etc. & Landrovers though . I think we ended up with several sets of Churchill drive on's & a shed load of other Churchill stuff. Including a light beam & mirror alignment kit which was rarely used because no one knew much about how to use it .

@DAPPH used them years ago when I worked for a guy restoring Triump sport cars and they worked ok given that they weren't exactly modern
The set he had were old then and really well made, very little flex. This one I've bought is newer, definitely not as rigid but the price was good
I've been watching quite a few on eBay and the older ones seem to go for just over £100 collection only, if the seller offers postage they can hit £200
Most of my stuff is old, I do a bit of green laning and occasional Pay and Play and its to keep the tracking close to where it needs to be
Currently using a PCL measuring stick which works well but is just a bit of a faff. Unfortunately I drove over it so it's not as smooth to use as it once was
Also have the Gunson Trackrite laser jobbie but it doesn't do big wheels and tyres on 4x4's
If an earlier Dunlop set pops up locally for reasonable money I'll upgrade but for now it'll do

...another Fakita 18V grinder. £23 I think, brush less, what's not to like. Would have preferred a different colour mind. The first one I got is bright orange and has been brilliant. This one destined for use as a power file.

Link please, could do with a new one.
A Woden screw jack (didn't even know they made them). Rated at 3 ton. Only very short. Removed from a derelict workshop that I was asked if there was anything that I would like to take before it's flattened. Also took his little mate which doesn't have a make on it. And a bucket full of large taps and dies which all look to have escaped the ravages of time. Loads of other stuff but a lot to far gone to be of any use. Have another visit due later in the week as some other bits look salvageable.

I would recommend spending a couple of quid more and going for the ones that use the stolen makita castings and moldings.
They are significantly better quality in almost every way. I took a few apart in another thread and the internal components are almost identical to the genuine makita.
Keep an eye on them and they routinely go into the £25-30 range

The plier set is for the wife for crafting, a pair of the clamps and the screwdriver was cheap - should've had another. The pliers and screwdriver came in the big white box and the clamps in their own.

I didn't know about the sex tourism, but (if it's true) it's very beautiful and worth living there, and if you're not very focused on your studies, you can easily become a permanent student there ... which raises the question of how to make a living .... France and Switzerland are both just a stone's throw away ...
