Gonna be a while! i think the MOT tester ran out of chalk in the end!
Test fitted the pattern wing too the bottom sits out about 1/2 inch so gonna have to bend that!

How far are you with the Zetec engine swap ? I'm in the middle of one at the moment and I'm trying to get my finger out a bit 
My old crossflow engine was blowing smoke so it was either a rebore and new pistons, £££, or crack on with sticking a Zetec in. I got a 1.8 on ebay for £50, including most of the bits to convert to RWD (tin sump, Escort water pump, Sierra starter etc.) bargain.
I only get to work on the car for 1 day a week, so it's taken me 3 weeks to chop and weld the sump, make new engine mounts, make a new alternator bracket and scour the local scrapyards for bits
What are you doing for fuel ? Injection or carbs ?

i've got to fit a thermostat housing between the engine and bulkhead so a bit of a space issue!
Rather than cut the bulkhead and lose the heater i'm moving the engine forwards
changing to the longer imput shaft type 9 which has a 32mm longer input shaft, that coupled with an inch longer autobox prop should give me enough clerance
Since the zetec transplants being done on a budget of £300 i couldnt find a long input shaft type 9 cheap, did however pick up a cheap 4x4 sierra one which i'm halfway through converting to 2wd.
Running stock injection and management purely to keep the costs down and to get the car running!

Sounds like you know what you're doing
The v6 type9's are getting scarce now, even the bog standard type9's are getting a bit thin on the ground, I even had to "pay" for my last one *gasp*.It's nice to see someone doing the same as me with the budget, I'm trying for £300 too
I didn't know the auto-prop was an inch longer than the stock one, that'll save you over £100.I'm working with very little under-bonnet space, so I can't keep anything "stock" (I've even had to fit a shorter oil filter). I wish I had the acres under there that the Capri has
But, having said that, there's plenty of space for the theremostat housing.
Many years ago, a mate had a 1.3l Capri, you could step over the front grille and stand next to the engine !
Luckily, sparks and fuel I can swap over from my old engine, just need to fab a new inlet manifold, but it all takes time and I'm missing Summer !
I take it you've seen pipinhispop's site ? http://pipinhispop.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/index.jhtml it's a Cortina, but I like how he's used as much of the stock Mondeo stuff as possible.

Yeah thats the site i;m using as a guide
Was using a 1.8 CVH sump too but that fouled the crossmember so time to make my own :groan:
Oh and space isnt an issue!
