    "I like the horse"

..me too, want to sell it? I've got a 1960's badge bar for the wife's VDP 1300 with a British Horse Society, an original AA, and 1300 club badges.

What's the plan for the Capri? Guess the idea is to mix the two and end up with enough bits for a decent project.

One thing I've found with my multiple Renaults bought for the same project is I'm inclined to use the shell with more rust but with original paint. Lot of hassle removing someone else's paint job if it's not been done well (and they never are).

Fix this one up as a daily driver, the other one i;m still converting to fit a zetec engine into which once all done i may transfer over to this car if it all turns out ok!

Andrew - just don't be tempted to put a plastic Aston Martin lookalike body on - they look ghastly! Always like seeing good original classics on the road.

(I gather you binned the geegee - oh well...)

I know a guy who's 3/4 of the way through fitting a 2.9L cosworth engine from a Granada into a Crapi!

Yup that bits still to be fabricated just covered the metal with seam selaer to keep it nice until i cut the next bit! Made the template up sunday but decided it was too hot and i couldnt be bothered to cut it out!

I did wonder. Know what you mean about the heat, spent Sunday morning lying on the floor trying to weld gaping holes in the sills of a Strada, felt like crap for the rest of the day and didn't even manage a very good job.
