Just needs a big chunk of all and a roundtuit. However it would justify buying a bigger lathe.....You could go all “This Old Tony” and machine your own![]()

Been to ‘the’ Bialetti store in Italy. They have one that is about 4’ tall and fully working. I will see if I can find a photo. I don’t do photos usually but I think mrs1979 may have taken one
Bialetti are all aluminium in the Moka range which is what these are and what most folk think of. They are durable as fk. I haven't broken one yet and that's saying sommat!
They do make a stainless range for induction hobs. I have no experience of them.
This was my solution

I want one like this:I'll pick up a couple: they tend to be only 50p or a quid at the bootie.
Tbh, I want one for camping, so an ali one would be better (lighter) anyway.
If they are that cheap, I'd be on them like a crackhead on a giro! The biggest one was £100 new.
I did think that if you were good with TIG you could cut the bottom off and weld a new base in from 403 stainless........
@JMS1972 has one / some - dont know if hers are induction friendly?
Now there's an idea. It would justify buying a 3D printerJust 3D print one, then do a lost PLA cast in alloy.
Neither do I!If they are that cheap, I'd be on them like a crackhead on a giro! The biggest one was £100 new.
