Personally I think it needs more Zinc phosphate.
That's not asking, that's tellingI like my number 4
Thats what the number 5 is for.... but thats only got 1 hide... need to make either a lead or something else for the other endThat's not asking, that's telling
Great job, I need to do similar on my blast cabinet, the nuts and bolts are loose M4s and a mile long. Also my eyesight isn't up to it anymore.Waiting for some materials arriving so had a spare 30 mins and decided to clean the glass on the CNC door.

It is always a PITA as you have to reach in with a 10mm spanner or ratchet to undo the four nuts. I have always been meaning to make something up and I spied a bit of brass so 15/20 mins on the lathe and I had these.

They fit on the bits that hold the glass.

It is mine and I work on my own, sometimes the dog helps but he isn't allowed to operate the CNC stuffJust a thought - is this a work machine, or a private one?
If work, you've possibly violated the rules over machine guarding - guarding needing tools to remove comes under different rules to those you don't. Not a problem of course, until it is when there's an incident requiring investigation.
Knurling is simple, put the tool in the toolpost, wind it in until you have the depth you want and wind along to the width you want.Great job, I need to do similar on my blast cabinet, the nuts and bolts are loose M4s and a mile long. Also my eyesight isn't up to it anymore.
Just need a bit of brass and to try my hand at knurling
It should of course read guard instead of glass.....
They fit on the bits that hold the glass.

Hung Some gates i made a while ago. They are just clad in "yorkshire boarding" type timber.
The opening is around 8M, i hung on the end of one gate and nothing moved.
Still got a bit to do each side of the gates.

I'm not that sure, i always brace steel gates that way.Out of curiosity, is that the normal way the diagonal braces go? Intuitively I would expect them to be angled with the top end at the free side and the bottom end at the post side, but I know nothing about the subject really so I suspect I'm wrong!
