That's one I'm going to have to add to the "Things that bug you" thread.

Whatever happened to the use of boyfriend, girlfriend, fiance, fiancee, wife, husband etc.?

Along with being referred to as “guys” when I’m out with my wife. She wasn’t a guy the last time I got a look anyway! I don’t think anything has changedThat's one I'm going to have to add to the "Things that bug you" thread.

I call my girlfriend my partner because a) we might as well be married, we've 2 kids together, own a house together and have been together 6+ years now, and b) I feel like a 15yr old when I say girlfriend, she's a woman not a girl, so partner fits the bill just right. That's one I'm going to have to add to the "Things that bug you" thread.

I've liked that, but I'm still not convinced.![]()
Genius, I see how it works nowThat’s an undercut tool. I’ve got 100 stainless washers to make so I will use this tool to put the undercut in before parting off. Once you part it off it will be already internally chamfered

Glad I'm in Scotland as NHS Scotland is very generous with free prescriptions; sensor is circa £50 but I won't be using the test strips I'd otherwise be using.
Tool that comes over from Eastern Europe and does it cheaper?*
(*Pre-Brexit, obviously.)
3" round/hexagon. You won't be able to grip 4"/100mm round pipe or hexagon nut with "shallow" jaws.
A new Chronos 160mm D1-3 Chuck for my Harrison, looks well made, I will clock it later. (The seller of the Harrison lathe I bought could not find the second set of jaws for the chronos 3 jaw fitted to the lathe, so gave me a refund on the chuck to buy a new one)

After 27yrs of having Type 1 diabetes I've finally taken the plunge and caught up with modern medical technology...
It's a Libre2 sensor that'll stay on for two weeks and communicate, using NFC (and Bluetooth for low/high blood sugar level alarms), with my phone. I've only had it on since 0930 and can already see the benefits.

If they pay postage - yes. If not then it may be cheaper to chuck it in the bin / repurpose.Should I send this back?
Fixed that for youA new Chronos 160mm D1-4 Chuck for my Harrison, looks well made, I will clock it later. (The seller of the Harrison lathe I bought could not find the second set of jaws for the chronos 3 jaw fitted to the lathe, so gave me a refund on the chuck to buy a new one)

Just googled Sanou and it is identical down to the packaging. They appear to get an ok reputation: https://www.model-engineer.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=171997&p=1I believe those Chronos chucks are re-badged Sanou ones.

Fixed that for you. I do hear it is worthwhile stripping them down to ensure they have the swarf / dust cleaned out at the manufacturers.
I'm going to tag you everytime I say itThat's one I'm going to have to add to the "Things that bug you" thread.
