It’s just a tyre valve pushed into a no8 cup, with a pressure gauge

You have the earth clamp in the right place ?

That really does look like a gas issue (ie not 100% pure argon),the label having argon plus on it is ringing the alarm bells here.
What is happening with the tungsten? fizzing and burning away?

swapped 4 other bottles as we keep 3 in stock

Swapped the earth clamps over from the Mig set no difference and in the correct polarity

turns black and burns away but not too much

it’s the same gas we use and order from United welding it worked fine a few weeks ago then the machine let go

we had a lad come over that’s a full time fabricator and it’s was fine then started playing up half way through the evening

machine sent back then a brand new one used today with the same issue

Looks a gas issue or gas leak. Get a known good machine and a piece of stainless or titanium and do a gas spot check.

Don’t worry about tungstens they’re not causing that issue.

when United is open next week we will be getting a new Lincoln 300 with cooler will try it then

Personally I want the lorch as the 3phase Mig I had was brilliant

it’s the boss that wants the Lincoln so will have to see
