Arrived in the post today.
Been fed up with squinting at the smaller gauge I have so just bit the bullet and spent some dosh on a decent one. I seriously expect this one to last for decades, even if I don't. The scale is about 4" wide and it's supposedly accurate to 0.5 psi according to the test cert that came with it.

A new, bigger rollerbox. I know this is Capstan tooling but they are very useful for a specific job. It belonged to a friend of mine but he has replaced his (with a CNC lathe) so he knew it would be useful to me:

Not acquired, yet, more spied for potential acquisition
I was walking down the canal with the dog, there's a new reclaim yard in town using an old mill. Well organised, big yard, usual piles of firewood, hardcore, pipes, girders etc. Then I spied this
It was taken on a phone with telephoto from a distance then cropped so not the clearest but this looks like a Wicksteed 10-inch "Hydraulic Resistance" hacksaw - easily identified by its double vice according to lathes.co.uk You can see the dual vice at the front. its a really big lump, possibly too big for me, the yard may have acquired it for cutting up girders to size. I need some firewood, I didn't get around to splitting some of last years logs yet, so may get some firewood and have an ask
They don't seem to advertise their presence, so I have a feeling they are wholesale so will need to do some digging. I once found a fantastic reclaim yard when I needed stone slates for the barn roof. They would not let me go direct, I had to have a friendly word with a local builder to introduce me, then I got 3 crates of big slates at a great price.
Wasn't somebody after a big saw?

Precision/repeatably turning bar.
The rollers support the material against the cutting forces, then when you retract the cutter lifts away from the material slightly so it doesn't mark/cut the material.
They're ideal for when you need to turn bar down to a precise size repeatably without worrying about deflection.
I'm considering mounting one in my CNC lathe for some parts I make, as they'll achieve a finish in a single pass without having to take multiple cuts and allowing for deflection.

Making firing pins is the use I will be putting it to.
Quite. My pal has a couple with his CNC Lathe, or 'Turning Centre' as he refers to it. I suppose when you have spent as much money as he has, you can call it what you want! Those Tangi-flow boxes are very nice though.

The last bits needed to finish my cyclone set-up, with thanks to a very helpful gentleman called @hotponyshoes:
Delivered this afternoon by APC - only a day late, which is pretty good going for APC even when it's not nearly Christmas!
Once I've done a bit of sanding on them, they will hopefully allow me to quickly plug the cyclone with a big dust hose into the table saw or thicknesser, or without the big dust hose I'll be able to connect the normal vacuum cleaner hose.
