Most of them seem to recommend running every month even over the summer on full pelt, for a while.
Haven’t fired mine since last winter, hopefully will be fine. Just need to fill the jerrycan.

How hot does the exhaust pipe get please.
That's what I figured.Very
I've got one on order as a birthday present i'm paying for![]()
HSS hire used to do a snazzy 110 volt conveyor belt set up ..run a string out from a ground floor window . Viola 25 second food delivery still on a very warm plate .Mine is for Christmas. She asked if I needed two so it would be warm enough for me to stay out there all the time. Also wants me to rig up a horizontal dumb waiter so she can send my meals out to me
I'm starting to pay more attention to this thread as in six months time or so I hope to have a 16 x 32 foot fully paneled fibreglass equipment enclosure for my new mancupboard.
One of these simple heaters would be ideal for keeping it warm & dry throughout the year .
Can you have to have a head of fuel supplying or must it be pumped up from small refillable tank for safety reasons ...reason I ask is I have a 1200 litre tank whose out let is some four feet higher than where the mancupboard is going to be . Was thinking of a gravity feed to the pump via a proper heating oil filter set up over 45 mtrs long in a proper copper / plastic sleeved pipe .
Can any of you guys or gals tell me what the max length of the exhaust pipe can be . Any idea of the exhaust gas temp for I'm thinking of venting it out of a roof or high up vent similar to the sort of roof vent for an extractor fan or I can use a balance flue set of cool pipe work from our old oil boiler if needed .
What does the team think of having the completer burner in an external water proofed lidded container , having any controls inside the building and just piping in the heated clean hot air ?
Do these burners come complete with an over ridable time clock & /or a frost stat ?

Evening.
Autoterm update, this one works, which is a good start.
My mate in the South (same company), is installing two on a bigger boat, although we both have the same manual, well it's not that clear, so following a conference call thing, we ruled out some niggling installation instructions.
Then I took it all down, moved the mounting board and painted it.
Hope this helps anyone installing one.

This is my new revised installation, fuel filter and pump now less than one meter from fuel tank, and shiny yellow bracket holds the silencer 30 cms from fibreglass hull structure, all now covered in kevlar.

The exhaust pipe on each join is notched both sides and covered in high temperature metal tape, to provide a gas type seal after tightening up with suitable clamps, (posh jubilee clips).

The black stuff is what was provided, it was nowhere near long enough, and has been put aside.
The entire length now covered in Webasto proper stuff.

That's a 5mm hole drilled for the drip hole, as per instructions.

Yellow bracket I knocked up this morning, well solid.
Well it works, just got the rest of the ducting to do.
First hour it ran produced a horrible smell, provoking a throbbing headache I've bought home.
Unpleasant smell to be expected for first few hours according to the manual. Doesn't mention headache.
The exhaust gets between 400 and 500 degrees in temperature apparently.
Hope this helps anyone doing the same.

You shouldn't get any smells or headaches!
Make sure you have 2x CO alarms installed.
No smell at all with ours!
Check everything!!!
Doesn't Kevlar give off phosgene gas when its heated?it's the silencer, it's smoked, as it heated up, no smoke coming out the exhaust.
But this drain hole has got me thinking.
Will definitely order a couple of carbon monoxide detectors, something to do with its manufacture, the silencer?
all photos of installation have to be sent off to validate warranty, it's been followed to the letter.
Even contacted the rep over inconsistencies and contradictions in manual...
We 'll see.
Good point, well made.
Apparently the Kevlar cooks into position ?

>Mine came from here and delivered a couple of days after ordering - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-Air-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649Well my power supply turned up today, just need to find a supplier of a 5kw “all in one” that is decent and can deliver before christmas ?
Any suggestions ?
