That black sleeve covering the first 40 ? Cms of exhaust pipe is like day and night to a webasto.

Webasto supply as many meters of kevlar? Sleeve protection which covers the whole length.

That silencer is attached to a plywood panel, in a fibreglass boat.

I mean what could possibly? Go wrong?

I might (probably) (very probably), will cover it in the extra Kevlar protection, left over from, webasto insulation.

But then will that invalidate the warranty?

Hopefully it will stop it setting the boat on fire.

How hot does the exhaust pipe get please.

Never been an issue covered in kevlar.

like I said my brothers got one in the conservatory he put it inside this cabinet he made with slats on the front works brilliantly ducted out side cheap as chips he says to run nice and warm no condensation on windows

i got the 20 amp should have got the 30 amp type

yeah was watching a u tube video and he ran LED light in his garage plus his diesel heater good set up it was

I'm starting to pay more attention to this thread as in six months time or so I hope to have a 16 x 32 foot fully paneled fibreglass equipment enclosure for my new mancupboard.
One of these simple heaters would be ideal for keeping it warm & dry throughout the year .
Can you have to have a head of fuel supplying or must it be pumped up from small refillable tank for safety reasons ...reason I ask is I have a 1200 litre tank whose out let is some four feet higher than where the mancupboard is going to be . Was thinking of a gravity feed to the pump via a proper heating oil filter set up over 45 mtrs long in a proper copper / plastic sleeved pipe .

Can any of you guys or gals tell me what the max length of the exhaust pipe can be . Any idea of the exhaust gas temp for I'm thinking of venting it out of a roof or high up vent similar to the sort of roof vent for an extractor fan or I can use a balance flue set of cool pipe work from our old oil boiler if needed .
What does the team think of having the completer burner in an external water proofed lidded container , having any controls inside the building and just piping in the heated clean hot air ?

Do these burners come complete with an over ridable time clock & /or a frost stat ?

I too have a working when striped out old tower computer power supply unit sitting on a shelf in my current mancupboard .

Just to clarify do you mean put all the outputs in parallel , + to + & - to- ve in a big terminal block then take out a single fused + & - ve to the burner panel that will then give you the required start 12 volt start up current plus a bit more in total so nothing gets overloaded & hot?

I used a 12v server power supply for mine. Much better quality than the cheap eBay power supplies and plenty of current capacity.

Correct plus loop the green wire to earth so its permanently getting the start signal so it runs when you flick the main switch on.

Not necessary. Yellow wires connect in parallel and green wire on main board connector to any black wire.

I'm maybe going for one of these but we get frequent power cuts being out in the sticks .
So , if I use a battery can I leave it connected to cheap trickle charger while running the heater .
