Today I acquired...........

Set my bequeathed Bulfinch tar boiler propane fire wand up a couple of weeks ago just happened to melt some translucent wriggly plastic sheet from a yard away in one accidental sweeping pass . I suspect someone ( Not me honest Guv) opened up the jet a tad as the light purple flame is a foot or more across and about 20 inches long.

This lot may have upset my friend, a bit. He brought the same, give or take.
Mine was in another skip, I asked if I could.
I was told, sure help your self.

So, this is what I got.

A Brass paint sprayer. Yes I got another one.

Yes another bigger than average, but not my biggest one paraffin blow torch.

Plus a small weed burner. Will be great to kill vibe weed and stuff in Greenbacks garden.

The pump washer seam to work, I will be testing them soon.

Look out for smoke.

They are shot anyway. New washers and seals on order.

All the internals are shot with water (mine) the fuel and yes I did see if the fine mist would burn, it did.
Oh dear. As I put my coffee down and step away.

The Blow torch.
Last fuel was petrol.
NOT A GOOD IDEA.

Filled with dirty paraffin, why? it mix's better with petrol and allows the torch to be tested.
Yes it fires up, but it leaks fuel from all joints. Worse the tank to pipe joint leaks, so paraffin mix's with the meths and you can get a flowing fuel fire.

I cheat. I have a tray of ABC fire extinguisher powder I test these item in.

Untill I have a fuel service kit, on order, plus it has been rebuilt. I am not setting it going again.

It was done in a safe way, but I am not doing it again.
But at least Greenback now knows he has a lot more work to do on his.

Mr Vark, make sure you clean out the tank on the weed burner, rust and bits of paint clog the burner tube if you don't and you end up with a very poor flame.

The whole machine will be striped and cleaned.

Ardy you may not know .....There is usually a fine wire or plastic mesh top hat style filter in the flame pipe end where it joins to the fuel tank .. They can be a beast to get undone and extracted for cleaning .

From the picture it looks like the big height shelves are uppermost , having them on the bottom allows you to put the bigger usually heavier items lower down, or is it an optical illusion .

There is, I have a TYA tool to remove them. Plus person I spoke to at the manufacture is sending me 2 out.

Diamond grinding wheel. Strange thing I couldnt find anything branded, only chinese or silverline ?!
Im aware concrete has a lot of sand, so any dry cutting or grinding without a mask is bad, yet cutting discs are extremely common, so that doesnt expain it.
