Thanks, I'd like to claim credit for the idea but the BMW comes with a puncture kit fitted in the undertray (a Rema Tip Top tubeless kit), and it has an adapter but I forgot to put it all away properly one time and the adapter ended up in my motorbike jacket pocket. I emptied the pockets to put it all in the wash and the dog somehow got hold of the adapter and chewed both ends off!

Very nice Pete, I thought it was something to do with a Vape Pen first.

Do they take the standard 38g life jacket cylinders, or do they rip you off with a special that's full of BMW gas?
Not that the thread would bother you, but if there was an non standard amount of co2?

Well, no-one's tried to guess and I won't be able to reveal until tomorrow evening so here it is - a miniature co2 canister to schrader valve adapter for emergency tyre inflation. I know you can buy them for a tenner in Halfords but not small enough to fit in my onboard puncture kit. There's a screw-in spike inside to pierce the canister. Gotta watch you don't get cold burns using these things.

All the canisters have the same thread but my bike uses 16g ones. It takes three to inflate a rear tyre properly, but you can ride it carefully to the garage on two or even one.

Knocked up a selection of 8 bandsaw blades, 6, 14 and 18tpi for the 6x4 saw and made a bit more progress on fitting my Sinpo 3 axis DRO other than giving it all a good coat of looking at. A simple Duralumin bracket to mount the readout so the bracket clears the Gib locks and leaves the back of the column clear for the head counterweight I want to add.

Sketch for the valve adapter. any dimension not marked is kinda non-critical, just don't make it too thin walled. After you make the piercer you can wind it in carefully using a small torx driver in the centre hole.

An Asian dish of some sort, perhaps a filling for dumplings?

Right part of the world, it's Chashu pork to go on ramen. In that picture it had already had two hours boiling with a chicken to make the broth, then it went in the oven in that pan of soy and mirin for a couple more hours, then in the fridge overnight before getting thinly sliced and crisped up in a hot oven. The egg got the same soy and mirin treatment overnight in the fridge.

Delicious (and very photogenic ) but it's a lot of work for noodle soup.
