Welding it up took no time at all but cutting the block with a 9" angle grinder was another story. I can normally cut pretty square with an angle grinder but this time . . .

Not really something I've made but something I've done, new wheel bearing which involved stripping the front suspension after much battering on steel parts inserted in an aluminium upright, best bit is its only a year since it was last in bits and everything was greased.

Ha, yes! I've currently got my b5 in bits to replace a wheel speed sensor. Getting it apart was a nightmare.B7, I think they've used a similar idea for years and Passat's are the same. If only everything came apart as easily as it goes back together when its all cleaned and greased
My first though was that it would be bike related, and my second thought was that it reminded me of a tyre valve cap. It briefly crossed my mind that it was a valve extender, but I’d never have guessed what it actually was.
