Great bargains

You can get metric rules for them on their own.
Not cheap but the correct rule.
MSC have them on offer often.

I am old, but hate metric and imperial on the same rule.
You will have the scale reading the way you want at best half of the time, with yours it will be wrong 100% of the time.

Really nice vernier as well, accurate and the batteries never run out.

Got an ebay parcel today with a couple of military cutlery sets and a folding washbowl. Won the job lot, but only wanted the German set for canoe camping because of its well thought out design.

A friend of mine went kayak camping, unintentionally, the inflatable kayak was in the garage in a black bag next to the tent, also in a black bag, they were going to a wedding and had booked into a camp site nearby, the guy on reception said it was a first, people had forgotten poles, found the tent had been eaten by mice but no one had ever turned up with a kayak instead of a tent, he found them a tent, the really stupid thing she did was to tell me.....

So, seeing Mastercam and I go along way back, I bought the new version. Mastercam2020,but will upgrade to 2021 in June. A lot has changed since MastercamV9 the last new version I had 15 years ago.....A good time to buy software as it’s a buyers market

There are a few vendors on ebay, search " German Army Cutlery ". I notice some adds say...………. Army "Style" Cutlery, so look carefully at the pictures, because not all are originals as some are Chinese copies.
There is one add that when you scroll down to the description says, you will get a set from the group in the pictures shown; to me that is a tipoff, that you will probably get something you will not be satisfied with.

When I was in the mob, virtually everything was stamped with the old War Department vertical arrow and a NATO part number which was something like: 4829-99-357-6268 (the 99 designated the country of origin IIRC). To be honest, though, I can't recall whether mess tins and cutlery were stamped but probably this was the case. If so, then that could be a good way to identifying the real thing.

Yes they were.

By the late end of the 1990's almost all stores had a ID mark or something to identify them as Gov. Stores.
Almost all NATO members were required to stamp/ ID stores items.

I see a lot of stuff claiming to be Army, NATO or armed forces. But it is not.

For one reason.
The Post person could not read, or was 2 lazy to ring the door bell as the note said.

I looked at the CCTV, they got out of the van, walked to by door. looked at the letter box.

Walked back to van and drove off.

Now I have spent 15 minutes trying to arrange collection or redelivery.

I will be informing the PO about this.
I have their van details.
