@Westfield-builder this one is around 25mm thick, it's slightly off square and some saw marks which is why it's in the scrap bin. If it's any good to you let me know your postcode and I'll work out postage. It ways 1.3kg so hermes is probably the cheapest unless they're really bad in your area?



EDIT: camera perspective is making the bottom back look shorter that the front, they are even.

Not today, but end of last week, I acquired an almost empty storage hut, and a big pile of rubbish gone. Our nice window cleaner, for a very small fee, remove two trailer loads full for me.

So good to see the back of so much stuff, and I told him to keep/sell anything of use to him. Worth it for the peace of mind. Managed to get the floor tiles down in the big hut, and have more room to work. I even found the 2 karcher power washers buried in there, and now they have finally gone to live with a friend with a use for them.


This does not mean I have no tools left. I still have about 7 boxes, and a camper filled with spanners, hammers, too much stuff to list, still to be got rid of, including about 25 Haines manuals.

Finally, after almost 2 months of driving this elderly DAF, I've acquired a quiet cab .

Just had the gear stick gaiter off and replaced yet another dodgy pneumatic connector, this one in the 4mm air line that powers the range change. No more air leaks keeping me awake at night, and no more having to run the engine for 10 minutes after a 45 minute break and every morning to build the air pressure back up. Whether it stops me being annoyed at this old girl's previous "drivers" who couldn't manage a bit of basic maintenance remains to be seen...

i was not goning to spendy a lot of money for the small pot of daninsh oil for a hammer but the door oil come up on fsacebook for a 5er for a 1 ltr bottle though that will do and ive got plenty for other projects

the door oil is £30 for a ltr dont know whats so special about it

No point having the jack and not having the rest of the kit I think. When it comes to lifting I prefer to have the right gear. Have to say quality of hi lift stuff is very good.

But have celebrated completion with a bacon egg and sausage bap.
Now I think a new tv is needed though.
The 15 year old LG plasma isnt really cutting it anymore.

Lol, that Osmo stuff seems to have rave reviews. I’ve got a tin but not had a chance to use it yet

seams to say it take 24 hours to dry seams a long time realy its quite thick but think thats down to its possably an older bottle but i rubed it on with a lint free cloth and even after the first coat seam nice and smooth i done a 2nd coat this morning only 12 hours later see what its like when i get home

I just treated myself to a new LG OLED 55" - incredible - streets ahead of these LCD/LED tvs.
LG are the only company making OLED panels - all the other companies buy off them.

Had a look at them but cant afford that sort of money at the moment. (Spent a little too much and with a dog gone poorly doesn't help)

I'm still quite content with my thirty-something-inch 720p LCD that I've had for about 12 years (and won free in a raffle back then). Every time I look at bigger, fancier TVs I think about how little time I spend watching TV and what sort of machine tools I could get for the same money.

got a cheapy 55 inch i cant see any thing wrong with it only moan is the tv guide press button take a couple seconds to show on screen i got used to it

I bought my last brand new TV in 1990. Then in 2001 I bought one cheap direct from the Sony factory in Bridgend.
Our first Plasma was free. Our 2nd Plasma was worth 5k but I paid £200 and fixed it.
I never watch TV but decided to treat my brother as I am always spending money on myself.

I went for the Samsung QLED...to my eyes any new screen is going to be better than the one I had before + I reckon your eyes just adjust to whatever you are watching.

Samsung have very good connectivity.....reason I didn't go for OLED is because I read that they can suffer from screen burn....dunno if its true but decided not to take the risk.
