I make components from groups. It helps because I use Sketchup to make models to show demolition sequences and I can move/modify/delete bits to show the work progression.

Wish I'd done this sooner. Don't use it very often tbh but will definitely continue now

I could see this being very handy

Easy, assuming that your PC has more than one output, if not add a USB HDMI or Displayport adapter.

With both monitors on go to graphics options and set 'extended desk top' drag applications to the second desk top and away you go.

Edit: Or what they all said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ teach me not to read to the end of the thread.

Today i got two 6 foot LED strip lights to make the shop brighter and i finished the 2nd coat of white undercoat to get rid of the blood red colour that was everywhere.

Passed on that to Hugh but popped a load on my eBay watch list. Got one the same

Make sure you tweak the settings to suit
Object mode the puck controls the model.
Other option controls the camera and feels more natural to me

A big 4k monitor can be one big screen, two stacked ultrawides, two or three vertical windows, four normal 16:9 windows or whatever weird combination you fancy.

In hindsight id rather have two ultra wides side by side. If/when I deal with the office il have the space to do it

I'd really recommend it: they make a huge difference for any 3D CAD. They pop up cheap every now and again on ebay so it's worth keeping an eye out. I used to have the "Space Mouse", but bought a 2nd hand "Space Explorer" last year: they're even better as they give you lots of configurable quick buttons to lock the rotation or switch to a particular view (and they're less likely to move around on the desk as there's a wrist rest, although I never really had a problem with that on the Space Mouse).

Just steer clear of the really old ones as they don't work with modern versions of Windows. If it's listed on this page, you're good to go; if it's listed in the Product drop down on this one, steer clear of it.

Seems little chance of the mower that hasn't run for years, has no petrol in it and is on its side bursting into life, and the tool I made to pull the disc off ripping all the wheels off it, destroying the bench and probably me, and them running a bearing, but I will watch out for that. Oh and the plug lead is off too. Cant be too careful..
Is that really what was meant?

I am missing my 3mm Facom Allen key and need it to remover the wire fred roller from my Minarc Mig Evo as I’m replacing the liner.

We have screwfix, toolstation and Axminster within walking distance of each other so thought I’d give Axminster a try as screwfix only had Magnassun which I don’t like much and tool station has Silverline crap in. Rather than trying to find just one Allen key I bought a set for £13.99 and must say I’m quite impressed with the quality
