Hi Everyone.
I will be setting up a a workshop from home by the end of this yr.
I will be looking to mig weld box sectional mild steel
Between 3mm 4mm & 5mm wall thickness.
And flat sheet mild steel between 3mm & 5mm thickness.
So I’m presently looking into the following single phase Mig’s:
PORTAMIG 216s
PORTAMIG 236s
SWP 220
And an OXFORD. (not sure on a model)
I’m looking for something that will be used daily and robust. for a few hrs on a day to day basis.
but im not sure if I will need to run it off a cooker socket ( 30 amps ). If I’m welding 3mm to 5mm wall thickness.
will I need a blue plug for this machine to run, anything over 200 amps
And have another power box set up in the workshop.
advice would be greatly appreciated.
Just need the right advice and set-up for the type of mig welding I’m looking at.
