Not today but this week I received my KSGER T12 Soldering Station. So far I'm very impressed with all of the features and overall performance. Not so happy with the multicore solder I received from China. In over 40 years of soldering I have never experienced anything as poor as this rubbish. Barely melts at all even with flux added and solidifies a dirty grey colour with no fusion to the base metal, horrible. Must be somewhere I can get decent solder at a reasonable price, obviously not China.

I've not had a look for a new price although I suspect these decent old ones have been replaced with some modern paper thin versions so a fair price comparison would be difficult to find I suspected they wouldn't have been cheap new. It's surprising what you can get by just asking the question.

I’ll be splitting them up at the weekend, she can live in the wash house and the boys will be split between the kennels and workshop.

Today I acquired a new SD card for my camera, so now I can post pictures again. Also, today arrived a new old stock 55* J & S threading tool. I acquired one of these for cutting 60* Iperial threads many years ago and they work a treat, simply grind the top face if sharpening is needed. And few days ago, I acquired a long sought after fine quality micrometer stand at a reasonable price. It's great to have a third hand while measuring; also its good for holding a magnifying glass.

I was board, todays was spent driving, not killing a customer and driving home.
So I stopped off at a decent place to drop a magnet in.

Mother scored another great bit of kit today in the charity shop a 6 draw Bisley chest for £12.50, they are a little bit deeper at 3 inches rather the 2 inch ones I have already which is nice.

Yes a bargin and very useful I said to mum did you ask if there were any more out the back as sometime our shop only puts things out one at a time mum said no, so mother had to go back and ask, there were none but you never know its paid off in the past good old mother
