Cut down a dead tree for a friend so I got the wood , some of it is laid out so in order to send a mate an email pic. He wants to choose a piece for some arty lamp project.

The squared piece is from another tree , its survived a while because the hydraulic splitter can't currently cope with splitting it.

Also acquired a ball turner that actually fits my Zyto by way of a lot of hand filing yesterday.

At last, I can contribute to this thread! No pictures I'm afraid but I picked up a Four wheeled Mobility scooter chassis today but it also has the motor, seat, 'brain' charger and all the wiring. All for £40, a bargain I thought. I'm getting into building large scale models at the moment so It will come in very handy.

Every time i see an old mobility scooter i think about a project... this one

Been done,( not by me), was sold on e-bay a few years ago for, it think, £1200. Not a bad price considering the work that had gone into it. But as an unauthorised copy, you can't earn money from it without the BBC breathing down your neck.

Went to a hot rod show up the road from me and beat the ques getting there after 10am for the start and left before the rain!

Managed to pick up two new hammers for £8

Today i acquired for nowt a Stanley 112 scraper plane, covered in filth & rust. Half an hour with wd40 & 400 wet & dry followed by a grey scotchbrite pad it is looking very smart. Good usable tool & aparently quite rare.

Nice acquisition ! A very rare plane indeed. I paid over a hundred dollars for mine, and that was back in the early 1980's , here's a photo.
