I acquired it a few weeks ago for a good price from one of the stationary engine groups, but it was in Cornwall. Luckily I'm on holiday a couple of miles from the seller so picked it up this week.

A nice tank to use with one of my water pumps.

Yesterday actually , but only got decent pics today due to weather. I have a good friend who's coming up to a 'significant' birthday and what do you give someone who's at the age where they probably have everything they need?

Having scratched my head [yes, there were splinters ] I hit on the idea of approaching forum Member @BirdmanJohn to see if I could commission one of his birds, which I've been admiring since he started letting us see his creations.

He's been good enough to make a Kingfisher for me and I have to say that it's even better in the flesh feathers than they look in his excellent videos. He also offered to make a 'personal' YT video of the build so that the recipient can share with friends, which is a nice touch.

I found him very approachable and open to ideas so would have no hesitation in recommending his work to others [no, I'm not on commission ]. He gave a bit of his background in welding/creating and the results are even more impressive given what I now know! Anyhoo, pics speak better [note I remember the obligatory mug this time......

Absolutely adore Kingfishers, everything about them says “WOW!!” to me. Even had them embroidered onto the blackout curtains for the top bunk in my Scania:

Pics below showing i with the front cover on, hinges are broken so would need taped if using the cover but you don't need the cover on as it is only hiding more controls.

That's the very similar to the one I have (but mine also has a knob to twiddle and is missing the flip-open cover), so pretty certain it's right for the VFD - do you have the installation/programming guide? I have a pdf copy I can email (about 4.5 Meg) if you need it. Should be easy to find online, anyway, looking for FR-E500 instruction manual.

Just back and have done a search, fist hit was the manual and it mentions that module so looks like it is correct.

Spilled scrap oil and diesel everywhere. Also knocked over all my threaded rod and pipe. Too tired to swear... just got on and mopped it up with a towel

Screw top oil containers is your friend for waste oil etc as soon at it is removed from the bit of kit you're working on.
Years ago I stepped into a lot of dirty hot engine oil in 2x2 foot x 10 inches deep foil tray as I climbed out of a cab backwards ......… that my " ex- mate " hadn't bothered to take out & decant into the 45 gallon waste oil drum when he changed the oil on a truck .

Worse burn I had, not for the pain but how it happened was 4 years ago.

Dressed in thick ex MOD cotton overalls, but with old fashion nylon army trousers underneath.
It had rained and I was a bit damp, legs were worse as I was walking through long grass.

I tool the Still disc cutter and was using it to cut 4" "I" beams, the sparks hitting the calf area of my leg. Didn't think to much about it.

Until I came to undress, a small mark on the overalls, but the nylon trousers had melted. and stuck to my leg.

I did not say. "Oh dear, oh dear me" as I removed them.

Pussers Red label helped with the easing of the pain.

Friction burn last week.
Lifting my arbour press up with the chain hoist.
Paint was fresh the night before so had one chain draped over my leg and one over my arm.
Didn't notice until I went to clean the grime from the chain off my hands.
