Looks like knux insert but hard to see with clamp in the way.
Knux are my favourite carbide and have low power draw and don’t need big feed and speed like cnmg to get a good finish
the guy wanted Eur 100, but I got him down to Eur 80.Looks like you struck gold.Would it be rude to ask how much you paid for those treasures?

Newall invented the dro and they still use the same reader system which is the best type.

When we returned to the scrap yard yesterday for the last time, I saw these. It would be a shame to let the slowly rust away.
So I took them home.
A very fine Wet stone.
In good condition, just a quick restoration.
It is water tight, but the trough is caked in lime scale.
Another old pillar drill. Looks intact, but stiff to operate the chuck.
Turns out the chuck is not original.

Today I acquired a sore back from stupidly not checking and blowing the the wheelbarrow tyre. The first load of rubble was a struggle, but I pushed on with it, and got another load dumped once I'd blown the tyre up. The damage was done by then, though. Had to stop for the day after that, as my back was shouting at me. I know enough to take heed of the warnings, 'cos if I don't I'll be knackered for more than just one day.
Still, there's always tomorrow, and even if I only get a couple of barrowloads cleared per day it's a start.
By this time next week I might have a cleared floor and some blocks down.

I had a 1lb ball pein, one minute I was hammering bolts through steelwork, the next I was trying to do it with a fibreglass cosh
I was also five metres up, luckily nobody was below.

A few wee planks I got a while back.
The old rafters from a canal pumping house that's being rebuilt down the lane from me.
12 x 3 " is flipping heavy
They used to use African hardwoods on lock gates and things which were submerged beneath the water - I know Ekki was used a fair bit. Amazing really.

This was actually yesterday but a delivery date for the new kitchen
In 9 days time
Original person in B&Q said 4-6 weeks for delivery but when we went in to actually place the order yesterday the bloke said it would be just over a week. But we can always delay it if I need to.
Might have to wait a few weeks before I fit it, I'll need to take a week off work but we are really, really looking forwards to finally having a dishwasher (other than me!!)
And to celebrate having to do the kitchen I picket up a cheap track saw from B&Q at the same time.
