If it's poly not glass some juices will crack em. Lemon kills poly tanks
Moved to droppers for simplicity tanks always gave me issues.

Yeah me too. Rolling one would always give me a few moments to think carefully about the next few actions in a complex job. I really miss that...

Don’t wanna sound like a kill joy but the idea around my post was to show you something I’d machined. Our vaping and smoking habits can probably be discussed in another thread thus not to take this one way off track.
It’s a quality thread and would be a shame to take it off coarse.

The original ones were simply nuts with the thread taken out and para cord tied in a loop

Did a route in the lakes, and there was a couple setting up to follow after, by the time we walked off the guy had got 3/4 of the way up, bailed and his gear had unzipped top to bottom. Air ambulance job

Last thing I machined was the screw out of this, rear brake adjuster off a Zodiac mk 3 rear axle.

No pics of it in the lathe unfortunately, but I swung it in the four jaw and manageable to carefully drill out the seized in adjustment screw, then run a 3/8” UNF gap through. Came out perfect.

The only replacement I could find was £68 + p&p off eBay, but I found a somewhat similar one with an identical screw, for £5 so that worked out okay.

My aged beastie.

Pulley for the "new" motor on the rapidor, aluminium, 77mm o/d, machined the groove with the compound and my parting tool and my battery gun . 3/16 Keyway cut on the lathe too.





Extension for a cheapo Forstner bit, I've a load of tubular latches to do and it was just a little too short to drill full depth.





Not machining but included none the less, cutting iron clamp from my Woden no4 smoothing plane, broken by some hamfisted moron (me), this was my grandfather's plane so I wanted to repair it. Has come out ok...looks like it may have a hairline stress crack already but I'll see how it lasts.

Whatever Lincoln electric put in their mig wire.

That's as posh as my welding gets I'm afraid.
