yea happened to me a week ago on wife's GSX650F...final straw as i always struggle trying to keep pistons unmarked

I've just discovered Popping them out with an airline.. Its a little haphazard, and its probably worth having some new seals about, but its very fast...

They also do spring loaded ones like internal circlip pliers which grip the pistons to pull them out also.

I usually do that but the ones on the bandit were seized solid. I changed the seals anyway at the same time as Robinson’s Suzuki have a classic scheme now to keep older bikes on the road. £7 odd per front caliper down from £15 and £15 for 5 seals for the rear, I thought that was excellent for genuine seals, it’ll cost you more than that for Nok seals on the bay.

I saw them too and they were cheaper hence my decision to get the more expensive one, thinking it must be worth the extra.

Decided to treat myself to a new vice for the pillar drill, gave up looking for the old one. I suspect its still buried in the shed at the folks house.
Anyway, went for a Draper as I didn't think it was worth spending the money on a really nice one but want something fairly sturdy.

Was 60 quid delivered. Haven't used it in anger yet, had a little play with it and it seems pretty solid. Just thought that being able to clamp it in 3 different positions might be handy.

Today I acquired an IKEA shopping bag.
Dimensions are: 330mm (13") Wide X 510mm (20") Long X 360mm (14") Deep.
Found an alternate use for it.

Wife gave me the bag, and when I spotted the Tig for sale, she went with me to look at it.
I got lucky the second time around, and married the right gal.

Yesterday I acquired the urge to sort out all the screws that were hanging around in various drawers, jars, buckets, take away trays etc. I inherited a load of screws from my dad, loads of brass and steel screws, mostly slotted head which look better than cross-heads if they are visible.

Here's about half of them that need sorting, I've started on them.

I've already done all the countersunk and round/pan/raised head brass, they are already filed away here, the rest will be soon.

I've already got all the cross heads in there plus loads of stainless and BZP set screws, bolts, washers, springs, self tappers from M3 to M12 plus quite a bit of imperial plus rivnuts, captive nuts, t-nut/bolts, plugs, rivets, roll-pins, circlips etc..... The bigger stuff is going in some old metal drawers I bought a couple of years ago.

Sounds a bit anal but I keep moving this stuff around the workshop rather than sorting it once and for all, this way I might be able to find what I need and make horizontal surfaces available for more junk

Get a brew, get the music on and just do an hour a day. It will soon be done.

******, I just found a 5 litre tin of various fixings and a jam jar of electrical screws and self tappers, I think I'll call the kids in to help, it is end of term holidays

Did the screw boxes from the van over Xmas. Wasn't a pleasant job but moch better for getting it done.

But today I got this Small Quarry Mans Hammer head.

Um, maybe though that might be going to the other extreme, the Drill Thu has two parallel clamping slots ( not t slots as such ) I will have a measure / think over the weekend.

Ok it's a bit big for my aldi dril so it'll be going cheap since I'm sick of moving it and crushing my fingers with it
