I carry
A crowbar/hammer/axe Stanley fubar

I have maps in the van. Be stranded if my satnav ever died.Tyre pump+ pressure guage, piece of wood for jacking on soft ground, LED battery emergency beacon/torch.
Duct tape, rope, multitool, kitchen roll, engine oil, phone charger.
Maps (some on here may remember them..)
Be amusing if I was stopped. Often have an Avon s10 gas mask in the boot as well.I believe the police call that going equipped lol.
Has served to remind me to sort out a car kit. Don't think about it in the van as it's stocked for work anyway.
Same here.I used to carry all sorts, but now a 12v compressor and tools to change the wheel but beyond that just a breakdown cover card
Wheel bearings! Do they often suddenly wear out or what?Having to drive the 62 across to Leeds, in the winter I have a dry bag with a tent, sleeping bag, stove, brew gear and some cup a soups in. Luckily not had need to use them but our neighbour got stuck on the tops last year in the snow for 18hrs.
In the Landy I carry a spare set of wheel bearings, socket set and spanner roll, screwdrivers, recovery gear, winching tackle, a hi lift jack, a shovel, a folding saw , breaker bar, a bottle jack, a good led searchlight, a small fireman’s Hatchet and some fluids
