Not sure if i can get 3phase installed or not so what is the biggest machine i can run from home garage
Normal house garageHow big is the supply to your garage?
So 30A welder?something under 60 amp mains supply if you wire it in on a dedicated circuit![]()
They any good?TecArc do 400amp single phase Mig welders, you will however need a 45Amp supply for it.
Can i run 45A in garage? What would i wire it from what fuse board cause i thaught they only had 30A for ovens/showers (im clueless this is just what i been told)Never had a Mig from them but I did have a 250Amp Tig and it was nice although bulky. I also currently have a 65Amp plasma from them that I use on my CNC table and I rate it highly.
I am not a sparky so can't really advise but you would probably need a heavy SWA cable run off your main consumer unit to the garage. The fuse on your mains to the house will tell you what rating of supply you have but obviously you need to share that with the house so if it is say 45Amp then it probably wouldn't be a good idea to draw 45Amps in the garageCan i run 45A in garage? That tells us nothing.Normal house garage
Sorry..its a single garage i dont know the size ,no electrics in yetThat tells us nothing.
Just looking into it ,a guy i know gets hold of lots of 2nd hand machines in good nick but i dont know what size i can runWhy do you want such a large amp machine?
It will depend on the supply in your house unless of course you are going to get a dedicate supply to your garage?Sorry..its a single garage i dont know the size ,no electrics in yet
Chances are on older machines you will be looking at 180-200Amp on most single phase Migs, after that they tended to go 3 phase as most places that bought big Migs would have 3 phase.Just looking into it ,a guy i know gets hold of lots of 2nd hand machines in good nick but i dont know what size i can run
On single phase? What was the fuse for in the fuse boardI'm running a 32 amp supply & that's more than enough for what I get up to!
