It did braze on D C but not as well as A C as long as the rod has no Zink it will workJohn, would it braze on dc? I've done some on dc with no issues. Also interesting to see its an oxy rod that's suitable for tig as I've a pack full of oxy rods I never use as I was told at some point they're different. May try them on the tig set!
Very SmoothNice job John.
Did it pop and fart a lot or was it pretty smooth going? I have to do a small cast iron repair and that looks ideal.
Be some video up on Sunday

My pack has a sticker stuck over the original label, its probably to fix that mistake.

gerrous tickled me....being a yorkshireman it means "get me"
The sif no8 rods I have aren't stamped anywayShould (or are) the SIF rods stamped on one end like normal tig rods, was have a few with no stamp, and was wondering if they were mixed up with normal gas brazing rods.
The sif no8 rods I have aren't stamped anyway
The No8 ones I have are stamped
I bought mine from welding supplies direct. The last rods i had were stamped
Both lots were supplied by R-Tech
Could the rods be counterfeit
They seem to perform in exactly the same way
Ordinary brazing rods dont work due to the zink content
