The shaft has a bayonet fitting and doesn't turn so presumably there's a worm gear in it. There's a 6 pin Lemo connector (£££) on the cable.

Couple of little vices.
Approx 60mmx120mm
Rear vice has a ball joint attaching the movable jaw
Nearer vice needs a bit machining to run in the ways.
Cant grumble for 3 quid and will fit im my big vice for machining small parts nicely.

These for a squid.

And a tape dispenser always handy at work.

Couldn't resist all this knex for 15 notes either.

This British empire lathe. In good condition .

I'd asume for a traveling steady but possibly for something like a toolpost grinder or perhaps even a spray build up gun.

A steady seems most likely.

I acquired/rescued four of these 25 ton bow shackles from the scrap bin today, dozens of them all new but thrown away because there is no paper work to go with them. They will do for grunting out machines stuck up to their nuts

The additional T-slots are for attaching other tooling, such as a lever operated cut off tool, or in the case of a gap bed lathe, an adjustable tool post to reach over the gap to machine closer to a faceplate mounted part.

How did you go about moving such a lump?

My plant trailer take about 2.6 tonne.
Had a JCB at one end to load trailer .at my end I have a 3 tonne crane. Separate the lathe from the stands and happy days. It's all round the back now.

Lucky to have some heavy lifting equipment! Don't think people take such things into the equation when buying such a machinery. @skotl how's your neighbour's pizza oven btw?

Some stuff is monster weight. I move all my stuff on my own. If I can't move it I will strip it down until I can. And if it's to big then I get the hiab.
