Count yourself lucky you don’t have eight lathes, three mechanical hacksaws, a shaper, a camel back drill and a blacksmiths hand drill in the queue like *someone* has

I’ve got a bench drill almost done, just need to repaint the belt cover and the motor, the lathe is in bits, and the big grinder I’m waiting til uni starts again so I can sandblast the last components.

Keep em all. It may be a few years before I get them all done. May be longer. Some stuff I get offered is stupid cheap so I can't turn it away. As for goal....I don't have one. Not in it to profit from it. I enjoy collecting old stuff.

yesterday i got on a bit with the repairs and rebuild of the meddings/strand /aborga drill
i had sraightened the bent motor input and gbox output shafts so decided to fit new bearings to the spindle ineed one more 6203 bearing as the guy gave me a 6202 by mistake. thank fully it had not been run with the bent shafts so the gears were in good nick

after much bashing and swearing new bearings were fitted to the spindle the internal key for the slding shaft carefuly fitted and the bearings given a slobber of Jcb finest blue grease gave the spindle a slight bit of preload and locked up the nuts on top
one bearing to fit make up a new power lead and isolator mount which you can just see
and it should be a good tool
the DSG,is fired up too and working well got the bed oiling circuit working a tiny filter was gunged up all the electrics work the supposed slipping clutch was the large multi vbelt needing tensioned " happy days "

the kawasaki lime green paint makes it go faster of course

The hinges turned up today from FH Brundle for the garage doors, 180mm x 28mm weld on hinges 3 per side should carry each door quite well.

drill up n runnin fix the rack gear pinion and give it some hammerite next picked up some natty clamps too ; someone made up these stainless handles probably cost more than the drill

just picked this up aninternal and external honing kit up to 2 inch it will be great for honing roller. big end races and pins

Been away for a few days, that thing called "Work"

But the site had a pond.
I had a magnet on a string.
I had time, I had access to a floaty almost boaty thing.




27" Long cold chisel, badly rusted and has seen a hard life. But it will rise again.

16 out put 12/24Vdc.
2amps per output. Unused.



Sent to the site, found to be damaged, so not used.



This is all what was wrong.



Dry joint on a fuse holder, a simple fix.
It was a simple fix, it now works.
