I was kicking myself today for not going for the 14” or even 16” version. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice size for family outings and camping trips etc but I’d no idea how the kit was going to turn out until I took the plunge (I hope not literally) but now I know they go together well I’d of happily gone bigger.
However that means bigger trailers and engines and more £££

I’m a tad bigger, thankfully I got a 12 foot boat, not a 12 inch one.

Not actually made, more started a small job for a neighbour - although I did make loads of plastic 'string'

Poor pic but he needed the depth reduced for some reason - instructions consisted of a small penned arrow and a wiggly line. I'm having to go very carefully, as the rear of the piece has webs cast into it which I don't want to break through into...... I reckon I had c. 1/16" clearance from the bed when I started.

Should get it finished tomorrow with any luck.

not that simple where i had to drill through the wall there was tiles on the inside and the toilet was about a foot from the wall but as there was tile there i had to drill from the inside

yes will do and i said she should buy a tap cover as well for the winter but i have added a shut off valve on the inside so it can cut the water off for the winter as well and just incase she has a problem i can lock it off quick i realy wanted to add a nice lock off valve (finger turn valve) but where it is placed to it would look so not good so had to use those screw driver ones i hate those with a passion

i wanted to take the feed from the washing basin but its fixed behind the electric box and on the left is a rad so the feed had to come from the toilet feed

and the tap is one of the special ones that cant back feed water i cant remember what thay are called im sure one of the plumbers on here will say what thay are and the reason some thing about syphoning if there is a problem with the water supply and you turn a tap it can drain old water if a hose pipe is left in a bucket

I made a Bedford MK 6 pot cylinder head nice and flat today by skimming it on the planitor

Hacked a nipple spinner together out of some scrap 1/4" rod and an old "something" handle.

Filed the end down as per the design in Roger Mussons bike wheel building ebook. Should make doing my next wheel a bit quicker.

Might go and try it out when I've finished my (alcohol free) beer...

Not a bad turnaround time for some of the "it'll be handy someday" stuff that's piled up in dads sheds

Done what I can, at least until I can establish exactly what's it's for/does. I reckon I'm within 1.01mm of the webs....I'll stick up a couple of pics later of the 'detailed' instructions/request I was faced with....
