I was kicking myself today for not going for the 14” or even 16” version. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice size for family outings and camping trips etc but I’d no idea how the kit was going to turn out until I took the plunge (I hope not literally) but now I know they go together well I’d of happily gone bigger.
However that means bigger trailers and engines and more £££

Nothing to stop you adding a foot or two at the aft end, just continue the same section and put the transom further back. Whatever engine you have will push it just as well and if needed, extend the trailer a bit. The weight difference will be minimal, but the trailer balance would need to be adjusted.

Not an unusual trick on bigger boats, I was following a steel build where they lengthened the design by something like 15ft..

Made a booboo today digging foundations for a veranda, retaining wall and path.

It was an old pitch pipe, or looked to be. 2” under a 4” thick path, no warning, couldn’t even tell we’d cut through it.

Solution, for a couple of days while the rest is dug and concrete is ordered, is a couple of short lengths of guttering and a lashing of rape tape we’ll see how many turds are sat in the trench tomorrow

Im restoring a rapidor hacksaw but the clutch was welded up and some bits missing. Started on it today and made this

It fits on the saw here

Does anyone have one of these saws and if so could you please send me some photos of the clutch mechanism as i cant find much on tinternet.

lol, today a guy from neighboring company asked me if i can weld aluminum. told him sure thing, but depends what it is...
i had to do an aluminum knife sheath with a small 6x40x2 C-shape on the back to fit the belt. bended a 6x100 L250 angle and a flat bar, then he was gone for 20 minutes to fit and cut both pieces. dont have a photo but unexpectedly it turned out very well for what it was, i mean 2,5mm gap on 200mm that grown to 6mm gap on 2mm material. just one joint that had a great fit up.
anyways he wanted to grind it and polish to make it look like it wasnt welded.
