Old decals tend to decay over time. Hot water/steam usually just shrivels them and then they fall off, or shatter into a million pieces. That design wouldn't be too hard to make on MS Word or Paint, sheet of transfer paper and you'd be away.
Interesting on that last pic, there's a sheet metal shroud around the entire motor drilled into the casting.
I hadn't noticed the shroud before. I wonder if that was standard a option, it looks like it bolts to the back of the head casting and there are no signs of holes there on the three castings I have.
Good call on creating a new label
this took me a couple of mins, probably needs aspect ratio and font tweaking when I get to measure it up in the flesh but takes seconds.Cheers

Probably move "in" to the second line too, so that there isn't as much white space on that line.
I think I may leave as is given I have already printed one off, only on 80g standard inkjet paper though, I was thinking of maybe a bit of photo paper would be better.
