I'm waiting to see those columns brought up to a mirror shine

Get them running round the workshop while you work, Andy. The heat they make will warm it up, while keeping them occupied, exercising and wearing them out![]()
I have a cunning plan, take them to their dance class then skateboard park then walk the dog this morning then I can get an hour or two in the workshop while they do their homework and watch telly this afternoon.
Tut, they’ve got a ruddy gret field outside the front door, plenty of room to prance aboot.
Too many women in your house mate![]()
A bit more done, yesterday evening I got the table arm filled and sanded and I turned the table onto its back to de-rust and paint if I get chance this weekend. The missus is away to I'm looking after the kids so I doubt if I will get much time. Temperature in the workshop is too low for painting, just above freezing at the moment.

The spark has just left, I now have power to the drill and it runs lovely and quietly
If I put the belt cover on, it does rattle a bit, which surprised as its cast aluminium. It turns out the motor pulley is just catching it at the top so I shall raise the cover slightly, just needs a couple of mm.
Cheers
Andy
Haven't you installed that pellet burner yet? Slacking slacking![]()
I'm going to wax the horizontal machined surfaces. I may use it for drilling into long bits of timber occasionally. Liberon lubricating wax is what I use on all my wood machines. Two coats with a bit of a polish then another coat every couple of months in winter or after heavy use. See my rust prevention thread, it's not perfect at rust prevention but better than nowt if it has two coats and doesn't leave an oily residue on timber. It is great on the thicknesser, wood slips through it very nicely, it helps the power feed.
Yes but most of the time it will be covered with the woodworking fence and t track so won't be seen
That reminds me to buy some more J B weld, I may need quite a bit!
"Son, pass me my screeding level!"
