A youngster helping someone across the road in this day and age,you have to be kidding; they are oblivious to anything that takes their eyes off of their phones while walking.

I play mine every week,I have a player by the forge, this week I’ve been mainly listening to,blues brothers, fleetwood mac, wings,Macy’s gray.Put a cassette on a while back. I'd played it so much as a kid I knew the tracks off by heart. The next track I was expecting didn't play. Took me a while to realise I had to turn the tape over.
Did the same when I got the case of "big black CDs" out of the loft.
What’s one of themAround here if a kid took your arm and helped you across the road you would get to the other side only to find your wrist watch would be gone

I remember the Philips one which played 7” singles, presumably a passenger was required to change them! You may be forgetting that it was once the thing to have a record player in the car? It was a short lived fashion however, like Tiger's tails.

You never know they might make it into an autochanger!Be useless now, what with the state of our 'many-potholed' roads.![]()
