I will work out how to upload, but in general I copy and paste between forums.
Took a couple of runs today. It really is riding nice and it deperately wants to get over 6k. Kept it at 5k for the last 1/4 mile to the house this evening and chopped it to get a feel for the mixture. Looks good to me (nice brown colour)

Should get a speedo cable tomorrow so I will know how many miles we are clocking up, but think we have about 32 so far

I was asked to take the Carlton to the Retro Metal 2012 Show this weekend. I gave it a wash last night and decised I would take the RD for a good ride. Lindsey took the Carlton and I rode the RD to the show this morning. Some really nice cars and bikes there. I was impressed when they gave the RD best bike at show award followed by best 90's car for the Carlton. Good job I gave them a wash! Mind it rained after lunch and they were both covered in mud and dirt by the time we got home but a couple hours got them both clean again. I hate cleaning!

Not a bad result for free tickets and the only aim being a day out with the kids. Have to say I recommend the the Retro Metal show for next year. Loads for everyone to do including space hopper races and retro cruise for the kids on pushbikes!

Can Job. Halfords Satin Black in the main with B&Q BBQ paint for the exhaust. I blasted and then etch primed most parts.
Popular choice is PJ1 satin black I think for the close to genuine look.

Yes its RHD. They only made 6 RHD. Got a picture of it from previous owner

Six to eight was the figure I had in mind produced, last real rhd one one I saw was in a Bradford lockup. I spoke to a guy in my hometown around '95 who was giving my Manta a good coat of looking at as it had an Ascona front end, he had two Ascona 400's.The RD looks good, I remember the ads in the magazines!

Quite a few Mancona's over in Ireland. I have another 2 door Ascona that I plan to wide arch and use for track day's. Just need to find a way of not having to work so I can have the time to get on with sorting all my cars and bikes!
