I wouldn't buy the Yambits kit. I couldn't get the one I bought to work at all and have read on the aircooled RD forum that others have had similar issues. I ended uop buying a good second hand unit. Not sure what you problem is with yours but there is an issue with a small hole in the cylinder body where the reservoir pipe enters getting blocked and preventing the brake releasing. Easy fix if its that.

A bit late now you've done the wiring but Autostar are good for Jap connectors
Its not getting it out thats the problem. Its standing it up as the spannies run under the frame so no centre stand.
I may be able to support with an axle stand under each swing arm.

Cracking that :-) I've got a 400DX I've owned since 1988 that's awaiting it's fourth rebuild It's after the TS100, TY250 and the race powervalve unfortunatly, aim to ride it next year for sure! I've also got this:
Raced in Bemsee's YPM series untill last year, Loccy and I have now retired!
Holes in pistons tend to be weak mixture, incorrect timing or a too hot plug. Or possibly combinations of both. Keeping the stock airbox is a good idea too. Those pipes look like Gibson/Allspeeds with modded end cans and shouldn't make a massive difference in jetting, but I'd be looking to go up on the mains a size or two just to make sure, that does look like a wide flat out fueling issue to me, what colour is the plug out of the other cylinder?
MOT past, tax disc fitted, insured for £65 and completed a couple of rides around the block. Only reved it to 5k, but you can feel it just starting to clean up and get into it's stride. Plugs look good so far!

He can get his toes on the pegs and he knows to keep them there and away from the wheel. The chain is covered along where the pegs run. I satisfied myself there was no risk of him getting hurt as a result of his size before we went out.
