I'm with Pete, factory HIDs are bad enough* but aftermarket conversions are properly cretinous things. Especially when the waste of skin that fitted 'em chose a bluish colour temperature. If i had my way Plod would be out tearing up the driving licenses of everyone they can catch using 'em and in the case of 'blue tinted' lights kicking the owner in the plums repeatably until they're no longer able to breed [/daily mail]

Lights are one of several things where the MOT has little in common with construction & use regs
* ALL hids light produce more glare (40% more is not an uncommon claim) than incandescant bulbs, even properly designed OEM systems. Worst automotive 'devolpment' ever along with stupid LED tail lights that are too bright and more importantly also seem to produce more glare
