Same thing but as a hand brush. Utterly useless and that was only a few months back.About 25 years ago, when I was young and naive, I needed to remove some paint from a rusty car. From an advert on the back of the Radio Times, I ordered this device which fitted into the end of an electric drill. It was a metal plate which had loose, sharp pieces of metal wire hanging from it. A mini version of a funfair 'chair o plane' ride is the best description.
As you can imagine, it didn't remove paint, but made a lot of sparks, and I stopped using it after one go for fear of taking my eyes out when the bits flew off. Cost £5 if I recall correctly, which was a lot of money to me back then. I remember being disappointed that the Radio Times had adverts for such crap.
Equally bad I would say. My Father was foolish enough to "invest" in the drill attachment sander and my brother and I teased him something terrible. It can't be worse than the Black & Decker sanding attachment for the drill...... Can it.

a machinemart single point grinding wheel dresser...the so called diamond in the tip must be a maggots toe nail as it lasted 3 dressings. Oh boy they sell some shh1te at that store
Bought some wire wheels off them to clean up some manifolds after baulking at a 20 mile round trip to get them media blasted. Should have got in my car. Having a Machine Mart 75 yards from home is no good thing.
The bristles on the steel ones peppered my face for about 3 minutes each wheel before being left with a spinning hub. They threw in some Brass ones, very funny, not Brass at all, they was steel with plating. Good job I tested them first, they went on the manifolds and lasted minutes at most.
I enjoy dark humour which is perhaps why I find this thread hilarious. The thought of spending money you worked hard for doing a good job being lost to some bandits turning out bogus ill designed, poorly made from bad materials tools has to have some humour to it.
More or less a true image of that day if you was to add some thinning hair to pinhead!
