Did you actually read that back to yourself before posting it? There are just so many ways that could be taken.

Very good advice. It only takes a slight lack of attention to have a problem.

if you have a small vertical milling machine without a power rise/fall for the head, use a cordless drill driver with a nut driver on the end and use it to operate the nut on the and wheel. makes the job much simpler now when raising or lowering the head a few inches, and can still be used by hand for final adjustments....if only it was as easy as the x and x axis to move

It doesn't only work on small mills, Tom Lipton (Oxtoolco) has one on an Index mill (about the size of a bridgeport).

Never put your angle grinder down until it's stopped spinning, I know 2 people the put 9" grinders on the floor & had them run up on their feet. One had the disc cut deep into the bones on his foot & was off work for 6 months, the other was not so serious, although still pretty nasty.
