Somewhere in here there's some stuff on turning a plumber type tube bender into a "real" one.
Plenty of plans on the peer to peer networks (Shareaza, etc) (search for "welding"), and a few on the Miller site.
great looking table do you think a car workshop will have use for a table like thatExcuse the crappy phone picture - but here's my bench. Box section frame is set back 150mm so you can put clamps on the edge etc.
Nice! How thick's the sheet and how big is it?
Its 20mm thick steel plate. It was a 4m x 2m sheet but i got the supplier to lop a bit off so its 3m x 2m. Frame is 100 x 100 x 10 box section with 40 x 40 leg ties around the base.
Made in the day
plumber type tube bender into a "real" one ???
iv looked on a couple of them sites but only found scanned car manuals like haynes etc
I mean, taking one that's supposed/designed for copper tube and turning it (quite literally) into one that's capable of doing 180 degree bends in CDS tubing. A search here for tube bender (or suchlike) will turn it up.
Get Shareaza (assuming Windows -- it's free and Open Source), set it to connect to all the available networks.
I've seen on there all the Gingery plans and projects, Ron Covell's TIG video and 2 of Ron Fournier's books (which are inspirational, a league above just about everything else).
You have to search and watch out for porn you don't want, but none of this stuff (with the exception of the vid) takes up a huge amount of bandwidth.
if anyone knows of any other places for free plans for projects and work tools then please let me know
cheers for putting me onto that thread iv now been sent the link for all the stuff he has and i must say he has been busy gathering all the info on projects etc etcHave you seen Wozzaaah's thread re Ebooks in the private forum ?
do you mean pm you on here or on that peer to peer site ?You have to be patient. Peer to Peer won't list anything unless the person who's putting it up has their computer on. They are completely decentralised networks.
PM me, I have 2 1/2 gigs of stuff................
