Has anyone built their own? Just ordered 20 lengths of 3 by 2 cls from Wickes and will start chopping them up when they arrive.

I'm planning 470 by 320 for the rears and 470 by 250 for the front.

Measure the exact length of the timber and the kerf of your blade before you start cutting.

A couple of mm shorter in one or both dimensions might result in less waste timber.

You will be mad if you cut everything 470 and then find at the end that 467 would have given an extra piece.

What's one of them then? Wickes timber usually isn't that straight

I just used any steel wheels knocking about stacked up, the largest one on the bottom smallest on the top. An inflated tyre on the bottom one gives a broader base. If you've got the access room.

Don't plan to, I just want to be able to work on the mid underside of the 911. My plan it to lift it using the scissor lift and drop it on the cribs

The jacking points have a lot of surface corrosion where all the paint has been scraped off, that I want to sort out.

Left over wood and screws from my garage roof project, at least i've got some sturdy stands for the car too sit on.

No, he’s made it so the front ones are wider than the back, so he’ll always have to load the car in reverse
But seriously for a second- why are one pair wider ? Is it just to cater for a single vehicle with different tyre width?
