I beg to differ. The Wickes offering looks the same and smells similar but is creosote substitute. It works but does wash off after a year or two outside. I've done my barn with it as it was easily available, but I can buy the proper stuff from my local agricultural supplier.
I think the main reason Sodium Chlorate was banned was its oxidising powers and the ease with which you could make fireworks/bombs with it by adding sugar!Got to agree banned in 2013 but only for domestic users I have a small holding in the UK and can purchase the original creasote( one of my distant relations worked in the Welch coal mines and could buy it for a shilling a gallon) I bought 50l and it was just over £100 with your tax. You do not require a DEFRA licence to purchase it
Sodium Chlorate a cheap weed killer is also banned I think it due to the british bowing down to the EU.
One post said "The torouble is its carcenogenic and poisonoius" so is oxygen but it is in the air we breath
has it took u 3 month to work that outlooks like this thread lasted longer than the barrow![]()
as with many of my projects,still unfinished,as in no dipping yet,however the state of the wheels remain unchanged!has it took u 3 month to work that outits an old thread
