Good to hear. im just wondering if i need one so big, but i dont want to buy a smaller one and wish i bought a bigger one, 212cc doesnt sound that big though. We have a really big garden and all the way around is covered with trees and the odd one does come down plus we do our own logs so i pick up stuff to split now and again so theres always odd branches and i could do with the woodchip for the hen enclosure and around the veg patch ect.

They don't really work on soft stuff unless you mix it in with woody stuff, & even then it doesn't cut it fine. That usage realistically wants a mulcher, not a chipper.

I on the other hand just burn what I want, when I want!

Its a good machine, worth the money, my only complaint is the small 200cc engine, for the drum size it really should be 400cc as it slows down significantly if you go anywhere close the suggested size, but if your patient it will do the job - note that feeding it while the blades are running slow, wont help with blade life. It does have a clutch, so it wont stall out if you over feed it, but you shouldnt rely on the clutch as it will wear out. A suitably powerful engine would prevent that.

I intend to swap a larger 460cc engine but I havent got very far yet - its just taking up space.

Another annoyance is it takes forever to drain the fuel tank as the filter has a 3mm or smaller outlet. I'm now only filling 1.5L at a time.
The filter is plastic M10* 1.25 fine thread, I intend to replace with a brass hose barb with 8mm bore suitable fuel hose that I already have and a seperate filter (the original is small and quite a coarse filter) to a drain valve and then back to the small bore fuel hose.

I would like to be using it more but have not had many suitable jobs.
We did an oak prune with cuttings upto 3.5" recently and that would have been a great test of it if I had the bigger engine. Instead somone else brought their baby Timberwolf ( which is old and took a million pulls to fire up, electrics broken, but ran fine once started). The timberwolf cost him £2k recently and although it has hydraulic feed, I think the Crytec is just as capable (Timberwolf had broken stress control, so he was constantly baby'ing it)
