I think Isuzu are the shortest main brand. Their bed is over 100mm shorter than Toyota and Ford.My garage can only take a 5m long vehicle. Had a Navarra D22 for a while until the engine destroyed its bearings, which just went in, but all more recent pickups seem a good bit longer.
Homolgated in Gp B rallying tooYou’d have to import a 504 now.
I’ve had 3, and an estate, tough, more stable when loaded,as on the cornering fast the back end drifts, plus the lsd, they’re so grippy.
Found it:'Inventions for a pickup truck that you should know about'
Short bed = rough rideI think Isuzu are the shortest main brand. Their bed is over 100mm shorter than Toyota and Ford.
Then ssangyong do a short bed version with a really short bed
Short bed = rough ride
I'd rather add on to the garage a few feet to stuff it in there, than ride a bucking bronco every day.
I complain the cabs are too small, I need more leg room and butt width.
No it will be stolen first.doesn't everything just get soaked!
VW do offer a relatively small/ useful size dropside, if that's any use. https://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/en/new-vehicles/transporter-dropside.html (Not a 'flareside' pickup, or 4wd, or the biggest weight capacity)Decades ago. I used to have a P100, which was excellent for my needs.
I don’t see anything comparable on the market these days.
It’s soooooo disappointing. On holiday in spain I see numerous small pickups.!
jix
And that would be ?I can think of another, easy solution.
I had one as my hack hauler until a couple of years ago. I liked it, compact and drove nicely. But they rust for fun. I did two days solid welding on mine for the MOT. Three months later the engine self destructedJumbuck?
Don't see the point of open back pickups in the UK if I'm honest....doesn't everything just get soaked!
I always assumed in the UK they were just a way of gaining a tax advantage buying a crew cab...is that still a thing or did they stop it?
