I have a stock of 99s too, they were replaced at work with the "safety" spring retracted blade ones.

I too have a good selection, I stick with this one mostly though, simple and just works:
There is a Wurth knife (and I really rate Wurth tools) that is absolutely useless IMHO that you have to keep your thumb on the slider or the blade just springs back. Supposedly a "safety feature" cant think of anytthing more dangerous than having to faff about with a knife while you are cutting.

my fav knife for roofing, now unobtainableif i found any still out there i would buy 10 of them as i am down to my last one.
You can still get them as I was searching, with no luck, to try to find a replacement sheath for one. Been using mine all last week for plasterboard.
A carpet fitter recently gave me one of his which is shaped like a dolphin. Amazing how nice they are to use against a bog standard shaped one.
Carpet fitters are ideal for a supply of blades. They use them for about 5 mins before they are too blunt for them, but still good for general hacking duties.
I have a retractable one of those ,,,, but not great they dont grip the blade as tight as the old solid version ,,, but if you file the case a wee bit they can get a good grip , but you have to loosen the screw half a turn to retract them ,,, I wouldnt buy another lets put it that way.
they do plastic blades now too ,,,, never tried them , but they may have a use in a scraper , cant see why you would want a plastic stanley knife blade though

I use this type which is dug out of rubbish at a recycling centre
I think judging by the colour it might be magnusson...screwfix type thing.
Holds over 5 spares which can be changed easily with gloves on.
Used it yesterday to cut 25 foot of conveyor belting to turn into side skirts.
Changed the blade once as it was dragging on concrete.

The one I linked to, is it the right type you were looking for or have I misunderstood?correct..
I ask because they are a bit cheaper elsewhere.

Look at the price of then now, though. They were around £15 when we bought ours.
