I've pretty much always had just what i consider the tradtional fixed ones with the odd retractable as above.99e , the standard retractable one ,,,, ive a fair few stanleys , dolphins and old rigids etc etc , but the one I reach for most is the old 99e

This! Difference being i always acquired/found them along the way, so replacing lost ones until now....Ah, the tried and trusted.
One of my brothers, when going through his stuff, he had 19 of them, 19, we figured if he couldn't find one to hand, he'd just buy another.
I bought one of these to replace a Stanley knife and prefer it.

My go to stanley style knife these days very very strongly built, the only downside is there's no spare blade storage inbuilt.

im like that with grindersI've a selection of 99's and 99E's for use around the workshop. There has been a few variations over the years and the older ones are definitely better made.
For going out to site, its a Milwaukee fastback - just a bit more compact and nice to use.
I've heard good things about the fiskers pro, but not tried one yet - I have more utility knives than is reasonable as it is, but you seem to just end up with them.
